Purpose: A highly-offensive build that can be modified to fit most situations

The best fire staff you can get, Ragos' Flame Staff and Exuro's Will work well.
Fire and Energy Storage Runes (I use +2 fire and +1 energy storage)

Description:
Before all engagements, cast Fire Attunement for energy management and Aura of Restoration for health management. These last about a minute, and should only need to be recast once or twice in a fight.

The first 4 skills are the core attack sequence. Cast Glyph of Renewal, then pick an enemy Monk or mob to nuke with Meteor Shower. Renewal will allow you to cast this powerful spell about every 15 seconds, as opposed to waiting for Meteor Shower's minute recharge time. Follow each Meteor Shower with Glyph of Lesser Energy, which will reduce the cost of your other attacks to almost nothing, especially combined with Fire Attunement. Cast Rodgort's Invocation while under this Glyph for a cheap AoE attack that also causes burning.

The 5th and 6th slot can be changed, but those shown are my favorite choices. If you follow Rodgort's closely with Glowing Gaze, the net result will be an energy GAIN. Fire Attunement gives you back 9 energy, Glowing Gaze gives 9 if the target is still on fire from Rodgort's, and with Glyph of Lesser Energy it only cost you 15 energy to cast both skills. This makes for a VERY powerful offensive build that can be sustained over the course of a long battle.

The final slot is Mystic Regeneration, which is only available to those who have almost beaten Nightfall. At 3 Earth Prayers it gives 2 health regen per enchantment for 20 seconds, meaning you will have +6 health regen for a considerable amount of time. This is the cheapest heal skill I've found for an ele.

Alternate Skills:
Depending on your situation, these skills may be better for slots 5 and 6.

  • Flame Djinn's Haste: This is the only Fire Magic skill that increases speed. It is useful for two things- running away if a battle is going badly, or just being able to travel faster while questing.
  • Maelstrom: Even with no points in Water Magic, Maelstrom is one of the best interupts in the game. It will interupt all of the foes within its range once every second for 10 seconds, effectively shutting down an entire group of casters.
  • Resurrect: This resurrection skill is a no brainer if you are working with other human players, as no one likes to lay around dead all day. Resurrect also requires no attribute points to work.
  • Rebirth: A resurrection skill that is better for high-end areas where your party is more likely to be wiped. This is the longest-range rez in the game and allows you to rebuild an almost wiped party.
  • Winter: In areas where the enemies are resistant to fire damage, this Ranger spirit will turn all of your fire damage into ice damage.
