Description:
This build operates on the fact that most monks, especially those in the random arenas who cannot form team builds, only heal their allies that are losing a lot of health. By setting up a spike on your enemy you can often kill him before the monk has time to react.
Before entering battle, cast Fire Attunement of Aura of Restoration for long-term energy and health managament. Cast Glyph of Lesser Energy as you near your opponents, as its duration is not as long.
Your prime targets are casters, such as mesmers, monks or elementalists, because they can more easily be destroyed in a sequence of this build. Start by casting Incendiary Bonds on the enemy. This skill has a 3 second delay before damaging the opponent; this delay allows you to hit the enemy with multiple attacks at once. Immediately after casting Incendiary Bonds, cast Rodgort's Invocation and Mind Burn in quick succession. These will hit the target a split second before and after Incendiary Bonds, causing a large amount of damage over the course of a single second. Some of these skills also cause Burning, which will add to the spike damage.
This quick sequence will bring most casters either to their death or near it, spamming a couple of quick, cheap Flares will usually bring them down the rest of the way. Once the skills are recharged, which doesn't take more than a few seconds, start on your next target.
